Answers to Common Questions
Why can't I access the storytop application from school?
If you are on a school network, there may be a firewall which blocks all sites that aren't on a "whitelist". Contact your
network administrator or IT specialist and ask if storytop.com can be added to the list of approved sites.

The storytop application uses a cookie to uniquely identify you. This cookie is simply the precise time, down to the millisecond,
of when you first created a story. It relies on this cookie to match up requests from your
browser with stories in the database. If the cookies in your browser are deleted, the application won't be able to identify you.
To avoid this situation, you can create an account with a username and password.
Is there any reason to create an account on storytop.com?
Yes. While you don't need to create an account in order to save and share stories, there are several reasons why you may want to
create an account. First, if the cookies in your browser get deleted, there is no way to identify yourself to the application and
retrieve your stories. If you create an account, you can access your stories from different browsers or computers. Also, if
several students are using the same computer, they will only see their own stories in their story list if they have created
an account. No personal information is collected when creating an account.
